Quick fixes for common issues.

Unknown Frame descriptor

Reason: Corrupted Tinfoil installation

Fix: Delete the Tinfoil forwarder from your home screen, delete SD:/switch/tinfoil, clean up orphaned files using DBI > Tools, then reinstall Tinfoil.

Game icon is blank with a spinning circle

Reason: Firmware version mismatch

Fix: Update your Switch firmware to the version required by the title.

Corrupted Data (persistent)

Reason: SD card has damaged sectors or Tinfoil files are corrupted

Fix: Completely delete Tinfoil (both the home screen app and SD:/switch/tinfoil), then reinstall. Check your SD card health in Hekate > Console Info > microSD.

Titles fail to install or launch

Reason: Sigpatches not applied correctly

Fix: Make sure you have the latest sigpatches installed and are booting Atmosphere via fusee.bin rather than directly through Hekate.

Cannot connect to shop

Reason: ISP or DNS blocking the connection

Fix: Set your Switch DNS to Primary: 1.1.1.1, Secondary: 1.0.0.1, or configure a VPN on your router.
